Dynamic Decision Making

Dynamic Decision Making

I. To begin this assessment, I studied what dynamic decision making is. This is an interdependent decision-making that takes place in an environment that changes over time either due to the previous actions of the decision maker or due to events that are outside of the control of the decision maker. As we come together as a group, Nicole Abby and I were challenged to share our out decided words into a dynamic pool of decision making. I feel confident that we were able to achieve this goal.

Taking a step back, I defined the individual words of Dynamic, Decision, and Making.

Dynamic - characterized by constant change, activity, or progress
Decision- a conclusion or resolution reached after consideration
Making- the process of making or producing something
.
II. Word Pool
Dynamic- changing, charismatic, compelling, aggressive, forceful, influential
Decision- finding, compromise, choice, agreement, outcome, opinion
Making- creation, building, authoring, formulation, designing, construction

III. Sentences
1. In the process of authoring a fashion magazine, I am inspired to create a compelling piece so more people will buy it.
2. My opinion of a changing world is complex; it is scary yet beautiful, disastrous yet exciting.
3. The president’s influential campaign made it a tough choice on who I wanted to vote for.
4. In building my personal brand, I am aggressive towards making everything perfect and a great representation of myself.
5. Designing is very personal and holds a lot of charismatic meaning within your art.
6. We came to a compromise after there was a mutual agreement that everyone’s voice mattered.
7. There is a formulation in the universe that I keep finding that is the outcome of my personal thoughts.
8. The forceful and courageous girl looked to a career in construction to portray her artistic talents.

IV. As I reflect on my felt experience of this assignment, I couldn’t help but to reflect on the entire semester's work. I can say that I can take two things in a space and society and juxtapose their meanings and relations. I realize that I have the ability to work in groups, meet deadlines, and speak up when things aren’t going correctly. However, I am overwhelmed. I’m not sure where there is a platform where I can share my ideas and my thoughts as I have so openly this semester. I have been making virtual connections and branching out into a new headspace. Things are far less black and white than ever, but prove there is much more complexity and hues of grey in between. I’ve been challenged to think this semester, and now I challenge myself to not forget. To continue to make connections through time and society. I’m in a space right now that I am positive about this, and I am grateful to have challenged my thinking in a separate direction.

V. Three Words

Abby: forming, judgement, composition
Nicole: changing, powerful, formulation

1. Despite there being a lot of judgement in this changing world, I chose to ignore the negativity
2. The charismatic group was a formulation of students from every aspect of life.
3. There was little compromise when debating politics, but the American people came to an agreement by having people vote.
4. The composition of the artwork had colors of my choice, which were effective in making people feel a particular emotion.

VII. Take two words further
judgement- acumen, awareness, experience, intelligence
changing- developing, dynamic, growing, uncertain

Mary- Even though I was working to develop a magazine, my lack of experience made it hard to hold down a platform.

Nicole- I’ve learned to be powerful with your findings in order to be progressive

Abby- Forming positive judgements about your own life will cause you to be more happy overall.

IX. My felt experience for this group work interesting. I was excited to be able to relate a concept into something I’m directly doing. Our group needed to come to one decision with our particular works and use them further to connect with our group and make world connections. I am happy I was able to work so well, and pull out some great words.

X. 1/2/3 : 1/2/3 : 1/2/3
Nicole thought about her work: Honest
Nicole thought about Mary’s work: Accurate
Nicole thought about Abby’s work: Organized

Mary thought about her work: Pure
Mary thought about Nicole’s work: Relatable
Mary thought about Abbey’s work: True

Abby’s thought about her work: Organized
Abby’s thought about Nicole’s work: Concise
Abby’s thought about Mary’s work: Interesting

XI. Felt Experience

Dynamic Decision making was a really interesting topic to me. I understand that within school, things are constantly changing and we are being asked to do group projects with people we don’t know anything about. I find it interesting however that together, things do work more smoothly and we are able to come up with concepts that we wouldn’t have been able to before. Moving forward, I am going to use these tools. To be honest, I was scared to share my ideas at first, but now I’m a lot more confident knowing the impact of the result.

Reflect: I am able to strong say that I am confident working in groups. For me, I am satisfied with the outcome of my work and have grown to be a contributing member of society.
