I believe feelings, images, and words are all very important pieces of our society. It is interesting how you say the images we see on the screen are determined by the decisions we make. I agree but never really thought of it like that.

Virtual Reality: Our Digital Escape
10 Phrases from the video:
1. Digital Experiences are becoming more and more interactive as the years go on, we are being able to stimulate more and more senses
2. What happens if once we go in we don’t want to go back
3. First person experience
4. A portal into any world that we can create
5. Allow us to become a part of the world we make

7. If you were to wake up in this VR world would you be able to tell that you aren’t in a dream

Sharing what we see when we read
This letter was interesting because it sort of went through the thoughts most students are probably thinking while reading your letters. For example "what is the opening sentence". This is always something I put so much thought into because I sometimes have a hard time with where to start. Also while reading your letters I do raise the question of what your words mean.

Simulating a Society
9/17
It is nice to use new platforms for school work. Since being a student at this university up until this semester I had only used Sakai and Top hat and this year I have been introduced to all new sites that my work needs to be completed on. I like having our work in the fishbowl instead of Sakai because it gives us something different to look at and learn how to use.

I feel like reading others text and posts is definitely beneficial. Everyone writes and interprets things differently so its interesting to see the way others think. I hope other class members find my work beneficial as well.

New forms of intimacy and friendship
9/19:
I feel having a social meeting is very necessary and helpful. In the day and age we live in, so much communicating is done over phones and computers. I feel so much is lost when communicating these ways in comparison to communicating in person. Personally, I feel communicating in person is much more beneficial and there is so much more to learn and understand about someone when speaking in person rather than texting or using social media.

Now that I have grasped the understanding of the fishbowl I watched the given tedtalks. They were very informative and informational. The question given "Do we live in a borderless world" was something very interesting to think about. I always love watching Tedtalks because they give so much information in a very grasping way.

Why we teach each other

This letter was interesting to read. I never knew Professors felt this way when teaching a general education course. After reading the explanation, it makes complete sense why professors would feel this way. Most of the time, professors are teaching a course they specialize in to students that are majoring in that topic. Doing that must be a completely different dynamic in the classroom than teaching a broad variety of students about a general topic that is not necessarily the topic the professor specializes in.
On the other hand, one quote that really stood out to me was "If I do my job right, I learn as much as the students do." As a professor and of course a student, there is always room to grow and teaching and learning something out of your usually comfort zone is the best place to grow.
