Re: Restructuring again

Post by Nate48 » 20 Oct 2019, 15:34

From this letter I gleamed a lot of information about what the purpose of this class is. We need to create and then re create in order to constantly improve our process. We should not be afraid about what we share with others because we are all learning in this environment.

Re: Reading others text

- we need to view this as an opportunity to really delve into the works of others. It's a good chance to break from our skim and skip culture where we gloss over this surface of information. This class is a good chance to create depth and pierce through the crust of understanding rather than be a broad understanding of business topics.

Re: thinking about metaphor

Post by Nate48 » 20 Oct 2019, 15:39

we are trying to create a metaphor for our fishbowl. We are all playing a key note in the symphony of this metaphor and if it is played correctly then this metaphor will be valued by outside organizations.

Re: understanding Design

We are working on being experienced designers and to do so we need to focus on the things which we already know implicitly but have not focused on until know. We need to bring our subjective experiences into the forefront.

it is important to share the building blocks of our thoughts with our partners so that we can create the most comprehensive structures. We shouldn't discard everything that we come up with but write it down so that we can share our thought process with others. Everything has value even that which we are throwing away.

Re: Looking at what we're looking at

Taking the time to step back and observe the overall process is a good way to measure how far we've come and how far we need to go. We are continually sorting and sifting through a bunch of different ideas and concepts which we digest and then process into the fishbowl. Stepping away for a moment to observe this process will allow us to see with greater clarity the holistic process.

Re: Just Live

Post by Nate48 » 11 Dec 2019, 14:04

To just live is to engage with life without letting the thinking mind get involved and in front of the way. We need to just let things happen in order to get the most out of ourselves. Don't stop and analyze the process but act like a painter who is painting from the heart. Every great artist allows things to simply flow through them.

Whenever we place a word into the fishbowl we are taking action is a great way at looking at how we are creating value in the fishbowl. By placing nodes and words in we are moving towards a clearer and clearer picture but we need to paint and re-paint this picture along the way.

Re: Doing Conversation

Post by Nate48 » 11 Dec 2019, 14:08

We need to communicate with our group members in the fishbowl if we are to create real value. Don't be afraid to say what you mean and put into words the true thoughts that come creeping out of you. We must be friendly in order to get good collaborative work done. The value will be created if we are able to proceed without thinking constantly about the product. Talking and discussions create value it is also okay to get into disagreemtns about the meaning and ways in which work should get done.

Re: What is Your metaphor?

Post by Nate48 » 11 Dec 2019, 14:13

To see things as metaphors is vital in trying to unlock new understanding or a new sense of identity, because one cannot create the new in terms of the old.

I think this a great quote. Understanding comes from the new. The new comes from different perspectives, and different perspectives can be attained by communicating through different dynamics. One of these is Metaphor.

Re: Reader response theory

Post by Nate48 » 11 Dec 2019, 14:14

We are using reader response theory when we work with the members of our group. We are invited into the conversation but share a burden of keeping it going by making sure that we give a genuine effort in reading the other members responses and giving them our own response to serve as stimuli
