Reflections on Letters
I enjoy getting the letters everyday in Fishbowl. It helps me to stay caught up on my teammates posts and continue to broaden the ways I am thinking. Being exposed to the thoughts of my peers is very mind opening; realizing that we all think so differently from one person to another is so interesting. After reading everyone's responses to the letters we are left with a greater understanding on the original letter. We help each other to expand the way we think, gaining more and more knowledge.

Simulating a Society:
The world is growing at rapid speeds, in many different aspects. Our digital world is evolving and forever changing. These are essential tools of a controversial new scientific method. Observation and experience is not something that effects the cyberspace, rather it is done through experience.

Theory of Assemblages:
Notes:
-out of the 200 plus countries in the world, 90% of the population lives in the same small parts and produces 90% of the world’s economy.
-90% of the world population that will never leave where they were born.
-basic political geography
-border conflicts justify so many of the world’s military industrial conflicts
- the entire planet is covered by sovereign, independent nation-states.
-Although Russia was divided by the east and west, Soviet leaders forced Russia out to the far east.
-as oil prices rose, Russia governments have invested in infrastructure to unite the country.
-Mongolia is being bought out by China because of the mines (copper, zinc, gold)
-they take these resources from Mongolia and bring them back to China
-Siberia has vast wheat fields and agribusiness for China to take advantage of
-Globalization Chinese style
-China has become the hub of diplomatic institutions such as the East Asian Community.

Re: Reflections on Letters
I enjoyed the Ted Talk 'Mapping the Future Countries.' I thought it was very informative and made me think about countries that I usually don't learn about. Countries in Europe and Asia were the main focus of this presentation and how the have developed over time. How countries gained control over other countries and why was important. The economies of each country and what makes it successful is very interesting. I like learning about the other side of the world, as it is relative to how we live today.
