“The ability to share information --- and to be believed --- becomes an important source of attraction and power.”
In the fishbowl we share information amongst each other.

Throughout this course we are gaining various different perspectives from everyone's individual point of view. We are able to compare and contrast our experiences. We can take our knowledge anywhere we choose in the unknown.

We are creating our own societies within our groups. The groups assemble together and have their own distinct material.

We are carefully selecting each word we chose to use in the fishbowl. Each word has its own value and we are choosing what it means to us.

"These thoughts may be considered lesser, more like hunches than the thoughts of “pure“ thinking, but they are thoughts, nonetheless. "
Our thoughts are very important in our work.

I found it interesting to see the email with a past student. Its good to know we are able to use our experiences in the fishbowl outside of the classroom and in our careers.

Post by Carissa Sousa » 26 Nov 2019, 18:06

We are learning to mindfully think about every motion and word pertaining to cyber-culture. It is difficult for people nowadays to step away from their devices. It is also difficult to find accurate and useful information on the internet with there being so much.

Thinking process

"Our postings reflect how we spend our time. Our postings reflect our thoughts developed in solitude for the purpose of sharing with our fellow human beings."
Everyone has their own way of developing their thoughts. People spend their time differently, therefore they will reflect differently. We are able to self-reflect by going back to previous posts or reflecting on what we just spent time doing.

Apperception

Post by Carissa Sousa » 26 Nov 2019, 18:13

10/14/19

Apperception is defined as the mental process by which a person makes sense of an idea by assimilating it to the body of ideas he or she already possesses. When in the fishbowl, we are tying to be aware with how we are thinking and be aware of the words we are choosing.
