Looking forward to reading- response

"Your work. Your labor"

What I am working on in this class is my work. I am working hard on my fishbowl replies and my structures with my group. It is our labor, our work. It is important to keep up with the class work as we can continue to learn from each other. Learning from others is important to gain different perspectives. Once Sanjiv reads our structures and gives feedback we will learn more on how to do our structures for next time.

Post by Brookebolofsky » 03 Nov 2019, 17:15

Sanjiv is creating meaning from our postings and structures. It is important for him to learn and create meaning from our structures. Our thoughts are helping him in life and they are helping our classmates as well.

"How you Think"
In the fishbowl and in our structures it shows how we think. Showing how you think is important. It is important to share with others. It is helping others by sharing how you think! We all learn something from one another.

Reflecting a new society- response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 03 Nov 2019, 17:43

"Your fishbowls reveal how you created, got, used, and distributed digital information among yourselves."
Taking what I learn from my fishbowl, my classmates fishbowl, and the 10+1 structures is important. Taking this knowledge and applying it to my fishbowl is important for my learning. My fishbowl is showing the team and my class how I am learning and what I am learning.

Further Reflection on your performance- response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 07 Nov 2019, 12:58

"our choices, dichotomies and structures, your symbols, your selections, sorting and sifting, are representational of the self in you; spontaneous, sub-conscious, self"

In the fishbowl what I am creating and what my classmates are creating is all what we want it to be. It is a representation of us. We are showing what we feel and how we can relate to the material. Everything is symbolic and it shows in our work. Every choice means something and it is important to show that in the fishbowl.

Reorienting One's Vision: The return: response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 07 Nov 2019, 13:05

"Why must we return?"

After getting back our 10+1 structures it is important to return back to them and learn. Getting feedback is important to learn. Now that we have gotten our feedback back it is key to return to our assignment and learn what we need to do in order to make it better. Learning for the next assignment is important as one can always improve. Returning back to the feedback is helping my team to better on the next 10+1 structure.

constructing social memories (345)- response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 12 Nov 2019, 12:55

During the stages of the 10+1 structure assignment my group and I have been working very hard together. We have been putting together different words and ideas, in ways we would not be doing so if we were working alone. We are all learning from one another which allows us to gain a greater perspective on the material.

cybernetics and your fishbowls- response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 12 Nov 2019, 13:06

"Your fishbowl is a piece of art and a never ending work-in-process"

Working in the fishbowl is like working on a blank canvas. I take my knowledge and my interpretations and put them in the fishbowl. Then it is on display just like at a museum for the entire class to see. This piece of art is never finished one can always go back and edit their fishbowl postings.

please fact-check your virtual products in your fishbowls- response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 12 Nov 2019, 13:17

Working in the fishbowl allows me to explain what I am thinking but at the same time read what my peers are thinking. This will help my me understand what is going on. Everyone can interpret things in a different way and it helps me learn by reading what they have to say. In the reflection I can say what I am thinking about the letter. This allows me to reflect and really interpret what is going on in the fishbowl. Observation in others fishbowl responses allow me to respond in my fishbowl.

complex adaptive systems: the art of improvisation- response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 12 Nov 2019, 13:32

Improvising is something that needs to be done when you are unsure of how to do something. Improvising can be a little scary at times. In this course, I have to improvise as I was unsure of how things worked with the fishbowl. But eventually I understand and now am comfortable with how this class works. Adapting to new ways of doing things are not always easy but once you get the hang of it, it becomes familiar.

Respons to letters regarding Sanjiv's paper

Post by Brookebolofsky » 19 Nov 2019, 10:48

"Going online this week"
- This week our class is going to be online, working with teams to complete the abstracts. To have them all finished by Thanksgiving. After the structures are finished we will create our Youtube.

"The opening paragraphs"
- The opening paragraphs of the paper are about friendship. How the goal is to work well and collaborate well with others. In this course we work in groups to collaborate our ideas and thoughts.

"Got this far"
- So far in the paper, Sanjiv went into great detail on what we have been doing in the class. We have been working with teams, creating word pools, sharing experiences from our life and learning from one another. Working together and creating friendships are important for the learning process.

"Inching along on the Friendship Abstract"
- Currently the paper is getting worked on, not sure if it is too much if it is we can cut back. The goal is to stop working as individuals and work together. We can learn from one another. We have our teams for this and to learn from. Using our personal thoughts and examples will help with the learning process.

"Taking shape this morning"
- In this paper it shows how an exercise for initiating and developing ‘workplace friendship.’ In this class each group met outside of class and conducted a social meeting. Since this meeting they have been working together online and in the fishbowl to collaborate as one.

"Workplace Friendship: A Social Reflexive Exercise"
- After these past few months in this course we have all learned some important things. This class was set up much differently than most other courses. There were many things to take away from what we have learned. Sharing with others and learning from others is important, it is a different way to learn. Forming a relationship with your team is important to collaborate.

"2nd Abstract: In the beginning"
- Our abstract for the 10+1 structure was Integrated Networking System. In order for us to complete this we engage with each other in and outside of the class room and in the fishbowl. To be successful we have to use creativity, flexibility, and competent relationship skills when completing the abstracts.

"Framing the second abstract"
- Reading the students fishbowls give Sanjiv ideas and inspiration for the paper. A lot of reading and going back and forth between structures and fishbowls helps him create the paper. It is key for this all to have value and mean something.

"How it looks"
- So far the paper looks good. It has an introduction explaining who we are and what we are doing in this course. It goes into detail about what the fishbowl is and how we are using it to learn from one another. In our teams we share our knowledge and learn from that. Everyone shares what they know and we collaborate together to gain knowledge from one another.

It was good to see you again- response

Post by Brookebolofsky » 24 Nov 2019, 13:31

Nothing is just about what is said. It is what is said and how it was said and portrayed. In our fishbowls we are giving responses, this is how we are viewing the letters and how we are understanding. We are developing our thoughts and sharing them with one another, so others can learn from them too.
