Re: Response to Letters: Letter of recommendation

Post by darlinggarcia » 30 Nov 2019, 01:11

I understand that only those who put more than enough effort into their fishbowl posts deserve the letter of recommendation. If not, it is a lesson to those who did not full all of their effort. We can not wing anything, as it can only get us as far. However, there may be some who can detect the half-done effort work.
However, I do not look at the fishbowl as a way to obtain a recommendation letter, rather as a way to share my thoughts. Sometimes, I tend to forget to paste my reflections on the fishbowl, and just keep them saved under a document on my laptop.
It is important to put all our effort into our work.

Re: Response to Letters: Reflecting on one's history

Thank you! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

I always thought of Thanksgiving as a day to spend with my family, rather than reflecting. It's a great thing to be thankful, technology. As it allows us to be on the fishbowl and reflect on all, even if we are all home, miles away.

Re: Response to Letters: Thoughts, the morning after thanksgiving

Although we may be at different dimensions, it will be interesting to view how we will cross with one another on this journey. Maybe to meet, we have to aware of all. Metaphors will help us meet, if we choose the right ones. To see each other's point of view, we should not allow too much distance, nor too little, just the right amount. Only time shall tell what is the right amount.

It is important to recognize individuality in one another; also an additional note in one another's narrative. With the aid of technology, it will be easier, just look at the fishbowl.

Re: Response to Letters: Maturity and the Fishbowl

Post by darlinggarcia » 01 Dec 2019, 20:03

I like to think that within the fishbowl, you must be yourself while possessing certain qualities. We have to mature enough to grasp concepts and accept other’s opinions and ideas. We have to show empathy to others who have yet to grasp the fishbowl and show our wisdom in explaining our perspectives or in other words, our point of view.

Besides maturing over the course of the semester, we have also learned that happiness exists within our words as it creates our value. That is we should make our own abstract during our careers. We have to find maturity, empathy, wisdom, and perspectives by reflecting on our thoughts.

Re: Response to Letters: Voguing

Post by darlinggarcia » 01 Dec 2019, 20:31

Voguing :
- Dance to music in such a way as to imitate the characteristic poses struck by a model on a catwalk
- https://youtu.be/N0z1AszALss
-Has Pre-Madonna vibes
-Only latinos and African Americans are involved in this event
-Perhaps raising the idea that voguing was a form of expression for the submerged culture of gay black and Latinos community
-Only way for them to express their true selves as their homes seem to look down upon LGBT community

-Expresses that voguing could involve simple hand movement, but it is still art at its truest form
-Body freely flows to the music

In a business, voguing will occur. If we are willing to emerge ourselves with coworkers and clients, we have to move accordingly. We much present ourselves willing. We will get used to our work over time, and once we do, we will learn how to let our minds flow according to our work.

Under grade distribution on the syllabus, this is stated:
"The act of taking on the perspective and feelings of others is communication effected in solitude and depicts an intimate emotional dimension within the reading experience. Through analogies, drawing inferences, and arriving at independent judgments, you will generate feelings and experiences."

In a way, we as students are moving to the flow, we are striking a pose by being bold and brave. We are doing this through letting whatever comes to mind be written and saved on the fishbowl. We are proving that we each exist by allowing our emotions to overpower our fingers. Our fingers are flowing according to what is being produced during the deconstruction of the letters.

Mutation/Motion

Post by darlinggarcia » 15 Dec 2019, 12:57

Vilem Flusser
Czech born philosopher, journalist, & writer
“ The technical images currently all around us are in the process of magically restructuring our 'reality' and turning it into a 'global image scenario'. Essentially this is a question of 'amnesia'. Human beings forget they created the images in order to orientate themselves in the world. Since they are no longer able to decode them, their lives become a function of their own images: Imagination has turned into hallucination.”

Sometimes, us as humans just observe while avoiding decoding. However, with these emails, we are learning how important decoding is. We are breaking your words apart and forming our own meanings and structures and projecting them. Fishbowl is aiding us in accepting this mutation. We are allowing ourselves to be able to stop and analyze each and every thing, so that we are able to grasp a bigger picture.

Lost in words

Post by darlinggarcia » 15 Dec 2019, 12:57

It is true that slower reading is required. Within the first week of these emails, I tried just skimming to get them over with. However, this resulted in little to no interpretation and me having to reread the emails. Sometimes, faster reading becomes the slower process.

By slowly reading every piece, we can decode each word to create our own meaning. We find ourselves getting lost in these words while furthering our minds. We become unique through this.

Fishbowl has allowed us to create our own images and share them. It is so much more than just a forum site, but part of us.

Reflecting and being able to let other people see our thought process just shows how powerful fishbowl is. The internet is crucial to our learning and experiences.

BUS 345

Post by darlinggarcia » 15 Dec 2019, 12:59

Writing a letter to one another may lead an over lasting goodbye. This is needed as it will mend our society.

I am curious to know what the final is, but at least it’ll be a breath of air versus my other finals.

Coming close to the end-2 (345)

Post by darlinggarcia » 15 Dec 2019, 12:59

Sometimes boundaries do not stop us from doing what is needed. We became expressive within our walls. In our minds there was more than enough space to let our words run. We are a new society as we worked together.
