FACT- information that is proved to be true
FICTION- fabrication, describes imaginary events in literature
COALESCE- come together to form one mass/whole
AGENCY- business/org established to provide a particular service
SILENCE- complete absence of sound

PORTRAIT- engraving of a person

PENUMBRA- partially shaded outer region of the shadow cast by an opaque object
HALO- circle of white/colored light around the sun
SHADOW- dark area/shape produced by a body coming between rays of light & surface
SILHOUETTE- dark shape & outline of someone/something against lighter background, especially in dim light
