Paulo Freire - he was an educator and philosopher who was a leading advocate of critical pedagogy. Critical pedagogy encourages students to question and challenge previously established and dominating beliefs. Freire was all about challenging and attempting to establish new belief systems and guidlines for future practices.

Anecdotal Theory (Jane Gallop) - Anecdote and theory are typically two opposing connotations. Jane Gallop wrore a book titled Anecdotal Theory and described how they can be intertwined to bolster each other. She states how theory can be given value from anecdotes as theory is applied to real life scenarios.

Multitude (Hardt and Negri) - 3 sections: War, Multitude, and Democracy. War addresses the current Civil War (this book was published in 2004 so I am unsure as to what metaphorical civil war they are discussing). The multitude is the active social subject, which acts on the basis of what the singularities share in common. The democracy section critiques traditional forms of political representation and gestures toward alternatives.

Vilem Flusser - he was a philosopher, writer, and journalist. He was intrigued by the influence of existentialism and phenomenology and contributed much of his work to the dichotomy in history which relates directly to our class and the Fishbowl since we do much work with dichotomies to extend our thought process.

nvestigative Journalism - reporters deeply investigate a single topic of interest, such as serious crimes, political corruption, or corporate wrongdoing. This type of journalism may have a journalist dedicate months or years of their lives devoted to the case.
Instrumentality - theory that falls under the broader category of the prophetic model of biblical inspiration.
