Social Meeting
UPSET: making someone or something unhappy
BLESSED: something feels worthy and significant
"As upset as I may be at the moment, I feel blessed to have my friends and family around to support me"
As we were there talking about our lives I could feel myself thinking about where my life has gone. Was I upset? I'm not sure what I was feeling but I knew as I was sitting there I was surrounded by people who would support me. I didn't get into any details about anything but by the looks in their faces, I knew I could if I needed to. As the time went on, things got better for me and made me feel better about myself. That feeling of being upset, if that is what it was, was gone. I felt more and more blessed as the time went on, I knew that I was with friends who valued my presence.
SMOOTHLY: no problems or conflicts
STRESSED: a feeling of anxiety that something may go wrong
"The feeling of being stressed is truly something, but when that experience goes smoothly, all that anxiety goes away"
Every time I get ready to go somewhere, some form of anxiety comes over my body. What if we didn't get a table? What if I lost my wallet? What if didn't even bring it to begin with? I felt somewhat uneasy. Not sure why but I did but then I remembered who I was going to be with, two of my close friends since freshman year. As it got closer to the time for us to get there, everything started to feel much more smoothly, I knew it was going to be a good time and it was going to be fun catching up with these two.
CATCH: hold
SPILL: knocked over on the ground
"I wish I could back and catch the ball as it was coming towards me, but instead all I did was spill my water all over me"
I stopped playing baseball at a young age, but I was always good at catching and not dropping things. I guess that talent of mine went away as I started playing tennis a lot more often. As I was sitting there, I could feel my drink started to fall out of my hands. I thought I would be fine and nothing would go wrong, I didn't think I would drop it. I was wrong. I dropped my drink and now it is everywhere. My drink has spilled all over the table.
