ANAOLOGY: use of comparison
BECOMING: moving forward, growing, changing.
Deleuze's version of what "becoming" is his view on function as an influence rather than resembling others. The process is one of removing the element from its original functions and bringing about new ones. I interpret Deleuze's definition of becoming as adding new substance to old substance for change. Making something that is preexisting become bigger by adding newness.
