Sentence: Knowledge as projective or literal truth places too much emphasis on the object of knowledge and not enough on the paradigm’s, perspectives, assumptions, language games, and frames of reference of the observer.

Reworking:
Clare: Every individual’s knowledge goes deeper than just knowing information, it is unique to their points of view, experiences and ideals.
Dom: Assumption leads to a different perspective on the real meaning of certain situations.
Max: Knowledge tends to focus too much on the basic sense of the knowledge itself, and not enough on the patterns or attitudes that make up the speakers values and accepted ideals.

Felt Experience:
Clare: During the job search process, I have been advised to remember that my personal experience and people skills are going to be the factors that help me stand out in an interview over the basic knowledge I have learned throughout my coursework at college.
Dom: I have assumed that I would get a good grade on a paper and it changes my perspective on how I actively participate in classes. It changes the way I will do my next paper from my assumption that I did well on the last one.
Max: When I spoke to my friend this past week on the topic of politics, I found myself looking to much on the bare statements of what he was saying. As we jumped from topic to topic, I was looking solely at the facts, while there was much more to his statements through the ideals and patterns of thought behind the knowledge through what he felt on each topic.

Clare: It is important to be self aware of your own knowledge in order to grow as a person in terms of experiences, feelings and personal abilities.
Dom: Certain traits give you the ability to show progression on your labor.
Max: Information focuses too much on the bare point-of-view- and too little on the experience and interpretation that we each feel in each of our statements.

Felt Experience:
Clare: In any discussion or conversation I am in, I try my best to respect others opinions because everyone comes from different backgrounds and has personal values. Especially with the climate of politics today, it is important to be open to all points of view to form your own without judgement.
Dom: Having a hard work ethic allows you to show that you are progressing in your job. I apply this to when I am working at my internship.
Max: When I last spoke to my brother, we talked about the movie we saw, Zombieland 2. When we spoke we talked too much about how the movie compared to the other and didn’t speak as much about how the movie made us feel. We summarized the movie using a previous experience and didn’t make a new impression.

Final Thoughts:
Clare: From this experience, I learned that knowledge goes deeper than just surface level information. Through conversations with peers, discussions with family members or interviews for potential jobs, it is important to be personal but also respectful. In the end, everyone has their own set of values, morals, beliefs and has gone through individual experiences to make them who they are.
Dom: I gained a lot of knowledge from doing this assignment. This assignment allows to think more about sentence structure than just the base level of it. The way you create your own unique sentences makes it one of a kind.
Max: When we think we focus too much on the substance of the facts we say and too little on the true nature of where these facts come from. If we were to look at each other’s process of gaining facts using our backgrounds, we would have a much deeper understanding of each other’s view the topic.
