9/13/19: Sharing what we see when we read...
"We’re becoming this hub through our senses whenever we scroll text and images on our digital screens."

It is our diverse interpretations of what we see and learn from scrolling on our phones, and in sharing this, we allow others to see our unique perspective.

9/13/19: A designer's notes

"Designers love questions, but what they really love is ‘reframing' questions"

A good designer not only loves the uncertainty brought up by a question but also thrives on just how many different angles the question can both be asked as well as solved. By looking at questions in different lights we can attack them from different angles.

9/16/19: Re-structuring

"BTW, talking about perception, many thinkers believe the world to be in a state of perceptual CRISIS."

While an existential view of the world, this viewpoint hold truth through the simple question: 'How can I make a situation better?' When there is an issue there are many ways to tackle solving it, while when there isn't any issue, we can simply look at how to make our situation even better. There is always room for improvement, but one must learn to address each improvement only as necessary.

9/18/19: Reading the Other's Posting

"Connecting with a group over in a social environment, rather than in an academia setting allows for an actual connection between the members of the group."

When we talk in groups as a class we tend to stay on a superficial level, as we are only connecting for the purpose of getting work done. Removing the academic aspect allows us to connect on a more casual level.

9/20 response

"Scott creates his own metaphor because he is in a state of ‘becoming’ something else"

By generating our own connections of experiences to the outside world, we begin to gain the ability to decrypt experience into a way we can understand.

10/3 response

"You must compare and contrast your differences in the experience of your social meeting."

By seeing the world through a different person's lens, we gain the ability to attack problems from different angles as well as understand each other better.

9/5 response

"Most things that people do shouldn’t be remembered"

We should only focus on the important aspects of life. Dwelling to deeply on every instance will only serve to drown us. By picking our battles we can better attack each problem without becoming overwhelmed. Taking on too much is a problem everyone faces.

10/9 response:

"Our best chance of understanding design, culture and society, and ourselves, is to open our minds to plurality of imperfect depictions that together allow us to manage and interpret our world"

To truly become better at understanding the differences present in our culture, we must go out and experience it. To simply sit and attempt to read about it does much less. By seeing and feeling the minds of other, we gain a better grasp on what it is to be part of our society.

10/10 response

"We have to recast ourselves as products capable of drawing attention to ourselves"

To properly advertise ourselves in this new world, we must treat ourselves as products. This is not to simply objectify our accomplishments, but also to learn our true worth and be able to convey it to someone who does not yet see it. In doing this we better market ourselves in all aspects of out lives.

10/11

" You are constructing meaning in a world that you experience as crazy, like your fishbowls"

The world is quite confusing and dynamics. We can only take in so much information at once but must learn to function is such a chaotic world while also contributing to it. This can seem impossible at first but with enough practice, it can be learned.
