Notes before meeting:
- Was excited to try a new place for lunch
- Hoping to find clarity on the class through my fellow classmates
When we all meet for the first time I didn’t know what to expect, but my group members were both very friendly so the meeting went smoothly. I met with Kyle and Mike on Friday Sept. 27th at 3pm for a late lunch at Monahan’s; Kyle recommended the place because me and Mike had never been. We got the Popcorn shrimp per Kyle’s recommendation and started to chat. I learned that Mike is from Connecticut and Kyle is from New York, and that we are all seniors living off campus in Narragansett. We talked about what we did this summer and I found out that Kyle had an internship in Brooklyn and Mike worked at a Skyzone type of place. We discussed our majors and what classes we were in and found out that we had taken some of the same courses in the past. That conversation led to our discussion on the College of Business and how it can be hard to transfer into it once you’re at URI. We talked about random things like the cops around here, what pizza we like, RI drivers, and the bars. Before we left we went to the back of the place to their dairy bar and got ice cream for desert. The boys got choc chip cookie dough and I just got chocolate. Overall it was nice meeting them, we had a great time and and I am glad we got to know each other!
Lunch & Dessert
Lunch: a meal eaten in the middle of the day, typically one that is lighter or less formal than an evening meal.
Dessert: the sweet course eaten at the end of a meal.

Friendly & hard
Hard: solid, firm, and rigid; not easily broken, bent, or pierced.
Friendly: kind and pleasant.
“All of my friends say I am friendly, but that when I am angry I am hard to talk to.”
Popcorn & Ice Cream
Popcorn: corn of a variety with hard kernels that swell up and burst open with a pop when heated.
Ice Cream: a soft frozen food made with sweetened and flavored milk fat.
“Two of my favorite snacks are popcorn and ice cream.”
