10+1 Steps
1. Structure
- Entering the unknown
- Always enter on a structure
- Enter life with DNA structure
2. Word Pool
- Gathering words
- Drawing the boundary of your context by collecting words from the dictionary
- Experience the sentence
3. Re-Structure
- Creating a new sentence from the word pool
- It can move on from the original sentence
- Simple, but captures somewhat the meaning of the first structure
- No first person
- Words and how they relate to each other
4. FE (Felt-Experience)
- Bringing the "I" into the experience
- Talking about your personal experience
- Describing an event or experience
- Has to fit the abstraction
- Shouldn't be lengthy
5. 1/2/3 : 1/2/3 : 1/2/3
- Working together
- Need your group
- Giving each other perceptual categories
- Reductionist technique is used in steps 1-4
- Reductionism is an approach to understanding the nature of complex things by reducing them to the interactions of their parts, or to simpler or more fundamental things

- Creating knowledge is tentative

- Create a dichotomy from the group's 9 words
- Show suggested dichotomies from the rest of the group as well

- You are designing text
- You are designing an organization in which we are looking at as reading and writing
- Can only have a conversation within that discourse
- Learning and a mechanistic way of thinking are enemies; they don't go together
- A machine doesn't allow innovation
- In design thinking, you are becoming your own theorist by using images and metaphors to engage in a continuous construction and deconstruction of meaning.

- 4 projects, 16 sentences
- Take 15 words from each of the sentences
- Put the words into 5 groups of 3, constructing a sentence from each
- Take the words further and simplify them
- 1 page of model, 1 page joint model

- Work is done as you create knowledge
