SOCIAL MEETING EXERCISE:
Going into our meeting I was worried that we would not have entirely a lot in common, or much to talk about besides the typical understanding of classwork and related majors. I had a pretty busy day that I believed would affect my conversational ability upon meeting up at T.L.C for some coffee.
Upon arriving at the meeting we settled in fairly slowly, with typical questions about each others majors and common professors that we shared. I had known Robbie from past classes and the GreekLife community. Soon, we all ended up on the page of where we were from, and the commonalities of living as a Rhode Islander. Sharing that a 10 minute drive was even a haul for all of us. Although we all live in the same state, we were surprised at the lack of knowledge of the area and where our towns were located. We also found it enamoring that some people who come to URI (as an exchange student, out-of-state, etc.), have never seen the ocean before as it is a blessing that we all had been experienced with. Overall, I felt reluctant to know that my group and I could get along and work cohesively throughout our time in the fishbowl together.
COMMONALITY, UNDERSTANDING, CONVERSATION, KNOWLEDGE, ENAMORED, BLESSING
Commonality: The state of sharing feelings or attributes with another
Understanding: Sympathetically aware of other people's feelings; tolerant and forgiving. comprehension.
Conversation: A talk, especially an informal one, between two or more people, in which news and ideas are exchanged.
Knowledge: Facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
Enamored: Have a liking or admiration for.
Blessing: A beneficial thing for which one is grateful; something that brings well-being.
Nowadays, with the commonality of social media, it is difficult to to enter conversation, as we lack the admiration and understanding for one's feelings.
Originally we all were hesitant to begin talking, relying on our phones to guide the conversation.
Acquiring knowledge requires a great deal of skills and informal thinking, most of us can be intolerant of our ability to comprehend and educate.
In your own personal world, you have to focus in order to learn a subject, or have the desire to learn that subject.
A blessing comes as a sympathetic gift leaving those affected with a feeling of admiration.
It is easy to overlook what is given to us and to walk over what we should find beautiful in this world. In our instance we overlooked the fact that we are surrounded by endless ocean on all sides.

JUST LIVE! DOCTOR ZHIVAGO MINICLIP EXERCISE:
INNOCUOUS- Not emitting harm or affection
The commander offers up the fact to the poet that the conversation is an innocuous one, all the while he burns nearby villages for standing up against him.
IN my personal life I have experienced many leaders or bosses that mention their deeds are not meant to harm any of those around them but meanwhile speak falsely and non-transparent.
"I hate everything that you say, but I will not kill you for it"
The commander asks the poet if he would like to kill him, to which the poet responds with the above quote.
This holds true in my personal belief to forgive and forget. Holding a grudge only leads to more issues in life, and those that do ultimately wind up finding themselves with more enemies than friends
JUST LIVE
Just live in this instance describes, the idea that the poet wants to live with his wife and kids in a village. This describes living the life that is expected of everyone eventually, to what some call "growing up". Not everyone believes this but living without hesitation or fear could mean the same definition.
