“The challenge and struggle is to construct and create structures that are meaningful space for interpretation.”
When we write, it is to choose the wrong words for our text. This can create the consequence of unable to interpret. We need to write in a way that provides value towards others so that our text can allow them to grow and develop their own ideas.

Reflecting on one’s history

“And what we see when we read each others' text in the fishbowl are things like, structures and images; reflections and layers; flexibility and interplay; constructions and creations; a living organism.”
The Fishbowl is a living entity. It grows with our texts, provides us with images and lived experiences. Through the Fishbowl we have come to understand each other and communicate.

SYSTEMATIC: done or acting according to a fixed plan or system; methodical
INTERPLAY: the way in which two or more things have an effect on each other
REFLECTIVE: providing a reflection; capable of reflecting light or other radiation
CENTRALITY: the quality or fact of being in the middle of somewhere or something

Thoughts, the morning after thanksgiving

“We’re different dimensions that are intersecting.”
We are all different people living within the Fishbowl. Each of us have our own lives, thoughts, problems, and use of vocabulary. Putting all of that together in the Fishbowl leads to us communicating together and eventually intersecting our thoughts and lives. We interact with one another through text. We are creating a community online.

INTERSECTION: an action of intersecting
DIMENSION: an aspect or feature of a situation, problem, or thing
PERSPECTIVE: a view or prospect
DISTANCE: an amount of space between two things or people
FOOTNOTE: a thing that is additional or less important
CENTER: the point from which an activity or process is directed, or on which it is focused
COMPELLING: evoking interest, attention, or admiration in a powerfully irresistible way
LIVING: an income sufficient to live on or the means of earning it
TROPE: a significant or recurrent theme; a motif
OTHER: used to refer to a person or thing that is different or distinct from one already mentioned or known about

Maturity and the Fishbowl

“Like happiness — another life-skill we have miscategorized as a passive abstraction — maturity requires early education, consistent relearning, and unrelenting practice.”
Maturity is growth. We begin learning at a young age, and then constantly learn more as we develop our minds. Through consistent practice, we gain maturity. Maturity has been seen within the fishbowl as we look at our creative process. Before, we did not know where we were going or how to get there. Our struggles turned into success as we are now able to use new syntax and metaphors to establish our thoughts in the Fishbowl.
