Nicole and I met at Mews Tavern. When we first met, there was an awkward tension. Since neither of us really knew each other it made the conversation even more difficult. I knew that this was normal but its such an uncomfortable feeling when your basically meeting with a stranger. As our meeting progressed we started to open up to each other. At the beginning of the conversation we did not say much. Many one worded answers and looking at our phones. In the beginning of the conversation we said basic things, like what our majors were and our hometowns. I found out that Nicole is from Westerly Rhode Island, and this summer she interned at Electric Boat. As our meeting progressed I felt that both of felt more comfortable with each other and the conversations that we had with each other began to be more open ended and we were connecting on many different levels with each other. I think that this meeting was great because it allowed us to open up to show our personalities and who we are as individuals. I think that this meeting is something that should be implemented in every class, because as stated in class it is going to make going forward with our group work much easier.

Hello My name is Joe, apologies for my lack of correspondence. I use my account at jdjoedowning@gmail.com and not my uri address and haven't been to class frankly because I work more than full time lately and just try to contribute on the fishbowl. I have been to the Mews a few times, great spot, wish I could of made it, living in Newport and working a lot makes it difficult at times to make time for other things. But much respect to you guys for following through and hope all is well and best wishes moving forward with the class.
