Meeting with the group was a great experience. We met up at Christine's house at 1:30 in the afternoon. Daniel was the first one to arrive, meanwhile I had lost my keys and showed up a few minutes late. Christine lives in a large house, in a nice section of Narragansett. I walked in her house, and met her roommates, and then met Christine and Dan as well. We have never met before, so getting to know them off the bat was a tad awkward. But with everyone feeling in the same way, it soon got very friendly and proactive. We went around the table, asking each other where we were from, and I found out that Christine lives a few towns away from me back home. Dan, lives in New Jersey, but we found out that he also has a house in Vermont. That got us on the topic of skiing. Dan and I both found out that we ski, and that got us talking about where we like to ski. We then talked as a group about what were going to expect from the class, and how the outlook of the rest of our courses were looking.
Since it was such a nice day out, we went outside afterwards and played corn hole, talking and just having a fun time in the backyard. Once we finished a game of that, we all said our goodbyes, and left Christine's house. I really enjoyed this assignment. It obviously is designed to get you out of your comfort level. Getting to know others who you may not ever talk to in a regular setting is a fun experiment, and I look forward to working with my group in any upcoming projects.
