Response to Letters: Brooke Bolofsky

On the 4th of December there is a lot due. First all of the structures should be completed, fishbowls should be caught up on. On 12/4 16 sentences, 15 words, 5 boxes each and 5 boxes together are due. It is important to work with one another when doing this. It is joint effort. These sentences are pulled from all of our structures. In class on the 4th we must hand in a hard copy of 6 pages. It is very straightforward and clear on what to complete. My group is working hard to complete this all for class on Wednesday!

Slower reading is the key with fishbowls. The fishbowl is an experience, reading your responses and others will help you learn. Reading for a few minutes daily will help make a connection. Interpreting and understand words is the first step. It is vital for learning to understand the words and it will help you relate and make experiences.

Today is the last day of the class. We will be going over in detail what the final is. Also, will be handing in our final boxes as a hard copy. Mike will be coming to our class to teach us about his life and his career of filmmaking and the power of selfies. It will be a class to clear up confusion and for everyone to be on the same page about what is left with the course.

"Fighting city hall"-

Sanjiv has been working hard to finish the abstracts up. Hopefully they get accepted but if they do the university if not paying which is unfortunate. Our postings in the fishbowl have been to explore the letters, seek what is going and reply with our interpretations and understandings and findings. We all "fight city hall" in different ways. Fighting with others, trying to get things done, working under pressure, trying to get things done when times are hard. Fighting is something to make us hard workers and strong. Working hard is the only way for success. In this course we wi.l be successful if we work hard, put in effort, respond to letters, complete structures and come to class.

The class is coming to an end. Everyone has done their assignments and fishbowl. If not they can still work on them. We did as much as we could. If you have done your responses throughout the semester all you have left is the final paper - with the newspaper as a team. If we need help Sanjiv will be in the atrium on 12/11 to meet and answer questions, if not we are ready to finish the paper and be finished with this course.

Throughout the semester we have been in a dialog in the fishbowl. Communicating with each other. It is a process- dialoging. In the fishbowl is where this is taking place. We are the creators and readers. Dialog is something key to put on our resumes.
