Social Meeting Assignment 1
Dichotomy:
(Busy/ Updating)
(Environment/ Internship)
(Landscaping/ Management)
Definitions:
Busy- having a great deal to do, keep occupied
Updating- make (something) more modern or up to date.
Environment- the surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives or
operates.
Internship- the position of a student or trainee who works in an organization, sometimes without pay, in order to gain work experience or satisfy requirements for a qualification.
Landscaping- the process of making a yard or other piece of land more attractive by altering the existing design, adding ornamental features, and planting trees and shrubs.
Management- the process of dealing with or controlling things or people.
Sentence and Paragraph
(Busy/ Updating): Our group is always busy updating the fishbowl.
When meeting with Zac and Theo we had many conversations. We first spoke about where we were meeting. We scheduled to meet up in the Dunkin’ in the Memorial Union. It was way to crowded and busy so we ended up grabbing our coffee and sat in Ram’s Den. When arriving in the Ram’s Den we spoke about how outdated it is in there and how it needs some major updating and renovations.
(Environment/ Internship): It is a nice environment at Theo’s internship.
During our meeting we spoke about the space we were in the environment. How there were many people in it, the décor, and how it needed some renovations. We also discussed our summers and what we had done during our summer break. Theo mentioned his internship that he had in Connecticut.
(Landscaping/ Management): Management majors are good at landscaping.
In one of our conversations as a team we discussed our summers. What we did for fun and what we did for summer jobs. Zac mentioned that he did landscaping over the summer locally in Rhode Island. Also we discussed, school and our majors. We all realized that we are all 3 business management majors and we have several classes together and that we have had several courses in the past together.
Summary:
Overall we had a nice time meeting up. We grabbed a cup of coffee and just hung out together and talked about school, summer, and life. It was nice to see who we are conversing with in the fishbowl.
