We met at the Dunkin before class. These were 2 students I have never met before but have been interested in viewing them in person.
Upon having this conversation, I was taken back by the similarities.
Riley was someone who has an entrepreneur business currently established. He has this moving company with a really cool name, "Island Boyz." This is very wise since his business is based out of Newport near all of the beaches. This was new and I never heard of someone starting their own moving business. I have heard dozens of new ventures, but his twist to it impressed me. He has a personal wish to become a firefighter in spite of his current business. This is also another tone of an impression because I look up to the firefighters since it is such a hard task. They are real-life superheroes, so him wanting to still be this is intriguing. He repeatedly stated that he realizes he doesn't need to even be in school technically to even be a firefighter. He unfortunately in major debt upon graduating.
He is an example of both impression yet still a lesson. I myself come from a minority and lower-income household. This afforded me to luckily have substantial financial aid. If I had to pay for a school like Riley, I would not come to URI.
Katie is a 2nd partner and the female of the group. She also had a very interesting story with everything. She was also an entrepreneur with her own lash tech salon business similar to my own current girlfriend. This is not new to me but it was still impressive to see that all 3 of us had similar business models and go about living independently. Katie also wants to be an attorney aside from a lash business owner.
Both of them have aspirations beyond the current desire to want to run their own businesses.
Me, on the other hand, I want to continue my current business as a career path fully instead of a side hustle.
As far as the sentence vocab assignment, Katie has done a really good usage of that so I will just say to have her submission of it count for mine.
Vocabulary
Coincidence: a striking occurrence of two or more events at one time apparently by mere chance
Shifting: to put (something) aside and replace it by another or others; chance or exchange
Eager: keen or ardent in desire or feeling; impatiently longing
Unique: existing as the only one or as the sole example; single; solitary in type or characteristics

Genuine: possessing the claimed or attributed character, quality, or origin; not counterfeit; authentic; real
A coincidence is often surprising but welcomed in a case of meeting people who are like yourself.
The shifting gears of our conversation allowed us to relate to one another, the difference in topics gave us a great deal of information on each other.
My eager nature reflects my desire to learn more about other entrepreneurs, I love to see their successes and learn from each other.
Unique situations like this one can be taken as coincidence, or they can be taken as a chance to make real friendships out of it.
This class gives an opportunity to expand our vocabulary with the freedom of learning on our own.
A genuine conversation is the best kind of conversation, where people are open to learning about one another and are interested in other people.
I believe the actual experience itself of getting to know the other members of our group, is better than anything written or on paper. They were really cool to get to know and also going forward I will keep in touch with them. As humans, we fail to interact with strangers in fear of not wanting to know anyone new, but this is essential because years ago this was all people did daily without social media.
