REFLECTIONS ON LETTERS
Letter 54: “Please fact-check your virtual products in your fishbowls”
As I have produced content in the Fishbowl, I have reflected on the algorithm and considered my approach to it. I have adjusted where necessary and continually reflect on my process. There is always an opportunity for adjustment and learning.
Letter 55: “Complex adaptive systems: the art of improvisation (345)”
Improvisation is necessary in the age of globalization. Society and the economy are fast-paced, and we must often make decisions quickly without all the facts. Developing the skills to adapt to these situations is necessary for success.
Letter 56: “Got this far” [Updates on abstracts]
Staying close to text and contributing to the Fishbowl is the best way for us to contribute to the abstracts and eventually, the papers for the conference. By responding to the letters I have assumed my role in this effort. With luck, we’ll be accepted by the conference.
Letter 57: “It was good to see you again”
“How so?”
This is the question we must always ask ourselves to take the text further. When we do this, we create new associations and reach new understandings. We must always reflect on the associations we make between text and images.

Letter 58: “Selection, substitution, satisfaction (443)”
“Our selection of words is often the problem, and it is words alone that will solve it.”
Careful consideration of word choice is important because of the associations each of us make between words, images and experiences. Thinking about words is critical for communication if we want to be understood as intended. I have found that miscommunication is the root of many problems.

Letter 59: “Looking at ourselves again”
We lived the concepts we studied by engaging with them through careful study of the text. We studied the text as symbols and considered associated images and experiences. As we worked through the concepts, our creative processes crossed and together, we created something unique.
Letter 60: “Relevance (443)”
“Focused on the horizon, that forever moves away.”
This is a great metaphor for goal-setting. We must always push ourselves further and search for new ideas. We are always looking for new meaning.

Letter 61: “Relationships, not just parts (443)”
Through the Fishbowl, the three of us connect symbiotically with each other in our society. We are building relationships with each other, and discovering the relationships between each of our symbols, images and experiences. We work off of one another, creating a symbiotic system.
Letter 62: “Reflecting on one’s history”
The interplay of the Fishbowl emerges when we observe one another in the Fishbowl and reflect on our observations. As we study the text and images we have shared, we form new associations. Through active participation in this process we gain an “experiential understanding of each other. Eyes looking Eyes!”
Letter 63: “Thoughts, the morning after Thanksgiving”
Distance can be refreshing and can provide much needed clarity.
Letter 64: “Voguing (345)”
As has been said many times, in the Fishbowl we are “Eyes looking at Eyes.” We perform for one another and observe ourselves and one another. Through this method, we begin to understand the big picture.
Letter 65: “Mutation/Motion (345)”
In the Fishbowl we construct our reality through the production of technical images which result when we take the text further.
