DECISION: OUTCOME
MAKING: ACCOMPLISHING
STEP 4
FELT EXPERIENCE
As a young kid, my father was always the most INFLUENTIAL person in my life. He had to work a lot to support our family, so there were times when I didn’t get to see him often. The times where I really got to spend quality time with him was when we would head up to our cabin in the Catskills of New York. The cabin is a family treasure, but it is always in need of some love and care, and this is where my father taught me the value of hard work. He would tell me the plan of the day, for example sawing down a tree on the hillside over our cabin. He would explain and be so confident that the OUTCOME would be exactly as he planned, and each time I worried. He walked me through each step he took, with careful precision, and felled the tree as gracefully as if he were a career tree worker. The thud of the tree hitting clear ground was the most satisfying experience, and ACCOMPLISHING another successful task on the list of duties for our family cabin was incredibly rewarding.
