Our responses all differ depending on how we interpret the subject. We experience things differently than others would.

Your Fishbowl is your YouTube channel

"In the global market, we are singular and the multitude… Saying it another way: we’re all, each and every one of us, 'footnotes in the center of the page.'"
In the fishbowl we are learning to put our knowledge into practice. We can later put our knowledge into our careers. We are constantly taking risks with the words we share.

Self-driven agenda

I found the first 10+1 steps to be tough to get used to but after doing it once I feel as though the rest will be slightly easier. I am learning to be more self-driven in this course as there is no specific timeline to complete work. Therefore, I need to complete everything at my own will and pace.

Simulating complex adaptive systems

Through the assignment on integrated networking structures I was able to further my communication skills with my group. By doing this I learned about the individualization of work and the fragmentation of societies. Through complex adaptive systems I will be learning experience is complex and learning to adapt to a continuously changing situation.

Morning thoughts: developing a Voice

Post by Carissa Sousa » 26 Nov 2019, 22:28

"It is your Voice that has to be heard, if you want your Action to have an Impact."
Through the fishbowl I am learning to create a voice for myself. You can only see my words through the fishbowl, not a face. It is important to learn to share your voice with the world and make yourself known.

"Mental things, like concepts, take time to sink in. These mental things manifest as words and pictures. Text and images. Your manifestations create value and it is how you make money. Big money, when you get the system down."
All of our words create value that lasts. Our manifestations create value. We are turning our text into expression.

Simultaneous reading and writing

I find it interesting to see the different words people chose in their papers. We all started off with the same three words and ended up in complete different directions. Everyone chose different words in the end and had their own individual experiences they shared.

Reflecting mid-way

Post by Carissa Sousa » 26 Nov 2019, 22:43

Through the 10+1 steps I learned that everyone has a different view on what they are doing. By doing so we are showing our thought processes. I chose different symbols than the people in my group and my group chose different symbols compared to other groups. I think this shows how others can also influence your work.

Reflecting a New Society

Post by Carissa Sousa » 26 Nov 2019, 22:47

We are constantly sharing ideas and meaningful symbols in the fishbowl within our societies. We can even get a glimpse into other societies by reading their postings. By viewing what others share, we can relate to them.

Forming theory with anecdotal evidence

Post by Carissa Sousa » 26 Nov 2019, 22:59

Throughout my experience in the fishbowl so far, I have learned that we all interpret things more often than not in different ways. The ways we view things make us all individually unique. We need to learn to turn words into our own and give them our meaning. By deconstructing text we are able to learn the true meaning behind it.

Further reflections on your performance

Post by Carissa Sousa » 26 Nov 2019, 23:05

All of my postings in the fishbowl are a collection of my thoughts. I am showing my identity through them. I am able to decide which direction they go in and which words I will be using. If I viewed the same post of someone else's work, they would probably be very different.
