Thoughts, the morning after thanksgiving

Throughout my experience in the fishbowl I have learned to be open and flexible to everything I am doing. It is good to look back at old postings to gain perspective.

Maturity and The Fishbowl

“Maturity is the ability to live fully and equally in multiple contexts,” poet and philosopher David Whyte wrote in one of his most beautiful meditations.
Maturity comes from intentional character-sculpting. We must consistently be relearning. We are doing so in the fishbowl.

Voguing

We are constantly on the move and going with the flow. We are moving around the fishbowl and moving around life. In a business setting we must go with the flow and learn how to present yourself. It is important to focus on your performance and how you are doing in the business, or the fishbowl.

Lost in words

The fishbowl revolves around our words. We are deconstructing and reconstructing text. We each have a different pathway to finding ourselves, but they all start at the same point. Our process has been developing throughout the semester.

Coming close to the end

Coming close to the end of this semester, I am thinking about how I can take what I've learned in this course and implement it into future courses and into the business environment.
"What we experience in our fishbowls is the "centrality of media" in emergent global societies. There is a thickening, intensification, and increasing complexity to the use of information machines like your 10+1 algorithm."

Action Learning

Action learning is one way to approach a problem. We are action learning in the fishbowl in small groups. We are constantly reflecting on emails and what we've done with the 10+1 steps. By doing this we are developing a different mindset and way to tackle obstacles. We are learning to be more creative and flexible.

"I think we maintained a quiet energy of reflective learning during the semester. I am aware that even if you haven’t posted as much as you would have liked, your learning was deep and introspective."
I agree with you, we learned from reading your emails and through each class. I have learned a lot more than I originally thought I would at the beginning of the semester. At first I was confused on the class and what I'd be doing but without realizing it, I learned a new way of thinking and learning.
