Runaway World by Anthony Giddens Google Search.
In my google search, I found that this text highlights the risks about globalization. In one section it talked about how globalization is putting the planet in danger, and gave the example of nuclear energy and Chernobyl. While the nuclear energy technology could be a large scientific breakthrough, human error caused for one of the worst nuclear mishaps ever. This is only one example but one main point the book states is that the world is filled with anxieties and fear because at a moments notice something drastic can happen that would affect the entire planet. I recently saw a video that stated if Russia and America were to start launching nuclear missiles that the reaction of it would ultimately settle with over 49 million people dead and large portions of North America and Europe would be utterly destroyed and radiated. I feel this ties into the idea of this section about anxieties around the world perfectly because if something like this were to happen the world would be hugely impacted for the worse.

Theory of Assemblages Google Search
The main point I picked up from this theory is that relationships are formed through coding, stratification, and terrirorialization, and all of these factors are taken into account in every relationship or assemblage. To me this basically means relationships are formed by each persons personalities, behaviors, and opinions on different topics, which makes a lot of sense. This relates to everyones genetic code that makes each person unique. I also found this asserts that within a body, the relationships of component parts are not stable and fixed but can be displaced and replaced. This shows that in an assemblage or group that if 2 pieces/people do not function properly together you can replace them to make the group/assemblage run smoother. You can see real life examples of this every day on sports team. Not all players get along on the court/field throughout the season, and as a result of this players get traded and transferred to other organizations.

Rabindranath Tagore: Where the Mind Is without Fear
I enjoyed this poem by Tagore because it does its best to depict what the world could be without fear in peoples minds. Fear has in the past (in certain situations/countries presently as well) ruled the way people think and act. The world used to be ruled by fear and raw power, and was completely unjust and horrifying. Throughout ancient history rulers would make their people fear them just to control every aspect of their lives. This alone has lead to thousands of unnecessary deaths and even the digression of human advancement/development. One popular example i could give is the French Revolution. The people of France were living in constant fear and innocent people were being sentence to death for unjustifiable reasons. This then lead to a mass revolution that spilled too much blood. If people do not have to live in constant states of fear and segregation, then the world would be a far superior place. If we all as human decide that we need to work together for the greater good of our future generations then we could accomplish so much more to pertinent issues like global warming, ending world hunger, ect. This poem is a great vision for the world, but in todays society there is too much hate and greed. A mind without fear is the strongest and efficient type of mindset to have because far more good would come as a result of this compared to the bad.
