3rd Class Notes
• It is important that our work is constantly being put onto fishbowl
• When he writes us a short letter and attaches our work underneath
• Fishbowl was created in a circular office room with all glass walls that replicated a fish bowl
• We are learning to construct meaning
o Not searching for truth, construct meaning for ourselves
• You can’t just read stuff and reproduce it without knowing what it means
o This is how we construct meaning
• Approach is deconstruction when it comes to letters
o deconstruct each word going into the dictionary and looking at the options to substitute that word to reframe the sentence.
• Do not underestimate the importance of this concept
• Each person thinks individually, in different ways by choosing different words
o Main difference is in the words we select
• Identify our differences Is to show how we are innovative and creative
o Can only innovate if we are open to different ideas(words) different substituted words
• A word is also simple, what is your text symbolic of- select a word from the text and choose a word to say what the text symbolizes
• Have to take the action in the typing and in the head
• Head is the mic
o Typing is the material
• Social meeting exercise is meant to break the ice and is the first step in this process.
• It is good to help each other, and even if you are not in the same group.
• Friendship in the workplace- things get done better, faster, easier
o Break the ice to become an identifiable group
• Intersubjective spaces
o Your selective words, symbols, ideas are making an impact on the group
o Looking each other’s symbols, becomes a symbolic space
o Eyes looking at eyes – that’s what subjective space is
• We are learning nonlinear thinking
o Not about being confused
o Thinking in ways your mind is working and showing it
o Craftsman of words,
o Critical(different perspectives) making
• Can’t do a thing without critical thinking
• We are phenomenologists – all that confusion we are looking for and at phenomenon
• When you see something confusing you are creating a point of view, how you see it
• Integrated networking structures
• We are the center of the world- fascinating
• You want your words to change the reality in a work environment
• Learning through association
• Meditation is getting rid of thoughts and keeping your mind blank
• Contemplation- focus on word and associations, then focusing it down
o Associations should come from the tune box (dictionary)
• Use creativity to relate words symbols ect.
• Learning to abstract and the better you at it the more powerful you will be
• Felt Experience.
o FE
