Apperception

Apperception can be defined as "the mental process by which a person makes sense of an idea by assimilating it to the body of ideas he or she already possesses". This is an extremely relevant term to this class and fishbowl. We are constantly learning new things and going through the mental process of apperception. Sharing and looking are a huge aspect of this as well. We are constantly sharing our ideas, words, and symbols to one another and interpreting these words/symbols to create meaning. We are also looking an observing others to pick up more information from their body language.

Pursuing international conferences

Workplace friendship is very important for improving and facilitating work. This brings morale into the office and makes work far more enjoyable for employees, and in return this would make their work better as well. Employees would be more inclined to help one another and would make the environment in the workplace better. It would motivate employees to go to work and not dread it. Friendship is not just a relationship between people, it is kind of relationship, one based on ‘spontaneous and unconstrained sentiment or affection.
Personally, I feel more comfortable when I am around my friends, and while at work it nice knowing that you have your friends to back you up after stressful tasks or tough days.

knowledge construction in a knowledge economy

while reading the sub-themes on the short papers I gained some valuable knowledge. I leaned that while making short papers, all the information should be directly tied to the main topic at hand, with little variance in the subject. While reading over these short papers I leaned about the importance of past and future in the present, digitalization and artificial intelligence, and mixed feeling and disruptions. These opened my eyes because I was able to see view points that were different than my own. These authors had their own felt experiences about these topic that lead them to have their own thoughts on each topic. They had all supporting factors throughout their short paper, and it all lead them to have compelling views on the subject

Friendship Again

Friendship can be defined as the emotions or conduct of friends; the state of being friends.
Friendship is important to living and maintaining a healthy life. You should find friendship at work and in the area you live. This makes life easier and more joyful because it enables you to share feelings and passions with others. You may gain new hobbies and learn things about yourself that you may never have knew about. Plus, it also is extremely helpful to have people that have your best interest at heart and have your back. Find friendship to sustain your happiness and relieve stress from your life

Creative Action

Design thinking is a non-linear, iterative process which seeks to understand users, challenge assumptions, redefine problems and create innovative solutions to prototype and test. Design thinking is important because it enables people to solve problems and challenge basic assumptions. This lets people get into an experimental process to prove these assumptions right or wrong. It is always important to not assume that something is correct or incorrect without having factual information to back up those assumptions. Especially when it comes to the workplace, assumptions are generally not acceptable. In accounting you are supposed to have a level of professional skepticism, which basically means you should not take people word for information given to you. You have to prove everything that you are researching is legit and accurate.

Social Networks and new forms of sociality

Social networks connect people through the bonds they make and their lifestyles. In class we are connected though this network, and we experience the same feel through the fishbowl. Fishbowl lets people view anyones post in the class, to gain an understanding on someone else's felt experience. On top of just our class and the fishbowl we are also connected through the university.

Looking at what we're looking at

In this class i like how instead of just doing work and taking exams, we are constantly reminded to take a deeper look into everything we do and think. Observing yourself and others on a deep level help to understand the importance of individuality and free thought. Nobody can have the same exact thought and felt experience as yourself. People associate different meanings from actions, words, symbols ect. This is why its so important to take a deeper look into these things to get a more solid understanding of what happened.

Inter-subjective spaces

Our fishbowl is created with the intent of exposing our intersubjective spaces. This is for us to share our thoughts and feeling from what we view and create in class. We spread these felt experiences to all our minds so we can see how other peoples thoughts and feelings differ from our own. Learning how to read and understand people is extremely important for success in the workplace.

Facing Each Other

In order to "run with the wolves" you have to keep up with all the posts and everything included inside of the fishbowl. It is important for everyone in their group to remain active so we can feed off each others posts, because in a "few weeks we will be gone without a trace into oblivion." Facing each other will allow us to make the most out of the fishbowl during this semester.

recapping methodology of the fishbowl

Understanding the shift in todays society is extremely important and valuable for success in todays workplace and everyday life. This will give you an upper hand when it comes to ex(buying a house, car, and bargaining as a whole). It can also made you stand out and excel at work when it comes to dealing with others or working in teams. Design thinking refers to the cognitive, strategic and practical processes by which design concepts are developed by designers and/or design teams. This makes you evaluate the make up/structure of everything you do or think. This relates to this class because it deals with the structure of our thoughts and felt experiences.

Doing Conversation

Post by CraigRigoliosi » 19 Nov 2019, 09:50

In the fishbowl, we have learned to Participate and observe, Self reflect, Perceive category, Construct structures from dichotomies, and share our felt-experiences. This is important because we have learned to evaluate our and our classmates thinking process, and are still actively learning how to analyze other people and our surroundings. We are taking meaning from symbols and vision and turning it into our own felt experiences.
