Don Schon: The Reflective practitioner.
Don Schon writes about 2 main theories of 'knowing in action' and 'reflection in action'. He has a very in depth point of view on how we reflect in many different ways. He talks about reflecting as the action is happening and also reflecting afterwards and looking back on it. He also talks about reflecting in action. For example, when riding a bike if you start to fall to the left you will lean right to keep balance. Even though this may not seem to be a reflection, it is because our reflection comes from past experience and it is our reflex to respond in a certain way that we know.
