'Making Space' Letter
I like your outlook on how our emotions are evoked by text and images and how this causes us to control what we see based on what we type into our keyboards. I now see this as a full circle because we evoke even more emotions and then those alter our next search and the cycle keeps going. This cycle assists in creating our social space.

Virtual Reality: Our Digital Escape
1. Think of virtual reality as a portal into any world that we can create; a simulated reality
2. The reason we can perceive depth so well is all because of our two eyes
3. Medical students can use VR to practice dangerous surgical procedures without putting actual lives at risk
4. Imagine a world where you can learn about the universe by actually moving through it
5. One of, if not the most important part of VR is presence
6. Eventually your brain will be tricked into believing that every touch, smell, taste, is actually real
7. although the human brain is smart and extremely attentive to details, it is easy to trick
8. The best and most realistic virtual worlds will most likely be the ones that can mimic how our brains function how we're dreaming
9. The impacts of virtual reality on our world are going to last long after our lifetimes
10. Our brains can create such deep and realistic stories from our memory

Re-structuring text
Every individual goes through different processes and these processes all have value to them. By sharing on fishbowl we are able to show other our process as well as see other people's processes which in turn will affect everyone's process.

Welcome to the course
This letter cleared up a lot of misconception I had about the course. I now understand what you are looking for in each of us and how you want us to express ourselves in the fishbowl to create our own society amongst the class.

Simulating a Society
I enjoy using the fishbowl because it is very different from any other platform I've ever used. I think it is a good way to communicate knowledge and I'm excited to see how it grows as the semester goes on.

Reading the others text
I like how fishbowl allows for everyone to see each others posts. By seeing what your classmate writes doesn't make you copy it but rather sparks more ideas of your own to reconstruct what they wrote into your own words. Reading is always great and the content of the fishbowl gets your mind really working when there is constant posting and letters.

New forms of intimacy and friendship
The claims that Anthony Giddens made 20 years ago still hold true today. With all of the technology today there are so many platforms to communicate that we never have to actually meet someone in person. Although this allows for more communication with no limitation, there is definitely some differences in the way we react to face to face meetings. The social meeting experiment that we are doing is a great idea because it is forcing us to express emotions in person and create true friendships. Online you are hiding behind a computer screen and could be any person you want but when you meet in person it leaves a completely different effect.
