"Apperception"
I find it quite interesting that our own personal postings in the Fishbowl could be part of something much bigger, like an international conference (or two). You don't tend to thing about the possibilities your words hold until they are presented to you, right in front of your face. Completing the different requirements and aspects of this class along with reading the letters and the work of my classmates has shown me that there's always much more to everything than what meets the eye.

"Pursuing International Conferences"
I participated in a conference in March over Spring Break for Beta Alpha Psi, for which I'm an officer. It was a really enriching experience, and if they allowed us to go again next year, I would definitely go. I didn't know it was something that could be added to my resume. I think it's cool that our names could be on the abstract for the conference. I look forward to further adding value to the Fishbowl and creating a digital footprint for my classmates to read.

"Knowledge Construction in a Knowledge Economy"
The theme of this conference seems to be Organization (sub theme word pool: processes, institutions, networks) and Challenges (issues, complexity). A common underlying, secondary theme seems to be modern-day issues (inequality, environment) and effective communication. I think together we are participating in knowledge construction every day, through daily communication with ourselves and others, in all classes, relationships, and conversations.

"Friendship Again"
Reading this letter made me realize that everything is interconnected in life. Words, actions, and everything in between. The letters and our responses to them, the assignments and the way we interpret and complete them... all of it works together to create something bigger.

"Creative Action"
There is risk involved in everything, whether it be a thinking process or something bigger. I'd say that being creative / thinking creatively is quite challenging to do when you aren't trained to do so, aside from the fact that it's risky. People may think you are crazy for your creativity. They may not believe in your vision. And that, among countless other possibilities, is the risk of it.

"Engagement and Construction"
Looking at each other looking at each other has been a somewhat difficult concept to grasp without having someone else remind you to think about it. It slips my mind until I read these letters, because the letters remind me to keep thinking about it. I hope I have the aha moment.

"Social Networks and New Forms of Sociality"
It's funny to consider the Fishbowl as a social network, but it really is when you think about it. The Fishbowl is a structure (network) of our ideas as a whole. Everything we do in it is "social". We make posts for others to read. We read posts that others make. We think about the posts while we are on the network.

"Looking at What We're Looking At"
"You rarely end-up where you were intending to go, but often you end-up somewhere that you needed to be." That really struck a chord with me. It rings true about everything in life, not just for our coursework. Sometimes this concept is hard to grasp, especially when you don't understand why you ended up where you did. Once you realize, though, everything feels right.

"Inter-Subjective Spaces"
I thought the social meeting exercise was beneficial to us. It helped to get to know the other group members in person before reading their posts and working together on future posts. It's nice to know that we accomplished what we should have be evoking images in the mind's of our readers.

"Facing Each Other"
I've found it hard to keep up with the Fishbowl posts. At first, there were no deadlines, and I had other classes with deadlines to focus on. It's been a busy semester. I sat down a few weeks ago and tried to catch up on as many letters as possible so I could be present in the class and group discussions. I find it hard to keep up because the letters come frequently, and it feels like every time I get a few of them done, a bunch more letters come. I want to be engaging and interacting with my classmate's fishbowls, but it's hard to catch up.

"Just Live!"
1. Note the words that are evoked in you by the facial expressions (images).
menacing
headstrong
intimidated
shocked
2. Note the images that are evoked in you by the text.
menacing: a big person with a stinging glare
headstrong: unfurrowed eyebrows and a straight face
intimidated: a meek, small(er) person with a nervous look
shocked: wide-eyed, mouth open, perhaps no words are spoken
3. Personal, Lived, Experienced examples
My mother is a very headstrong woman... sometimes too headstrong for my own good. I don't think I'll ever win an argument with that woman, even if I'm right.
I switched schools 3 times during elementary school. I remember feeling very intimidated on every first day, but obviously more so on the days where I was starting a new school.
A time I felt especially shocked was the day I got into a car accident. Nobody was hurt, but it shook me up. I'd been avoiding getting my license because I was so nervous about getting into an accident, but I finally decided to when I turned 18. Exactly a week before my road test, the accident happened, and I didn't drive again for almost a year.

"Recapping Methodology of the Fishbowl"
We are the masters of our own destinies because we chose the words to be used in our 10+1 step assignment. Even though we didn't choose the original words, integrated networking structure, we chose words from our word pools and built dichotomies and experiences from those words, which created and even bigger network of symbols.
