INDIVIDUATION, GILBERT SIMONDON: Not to be thought about through the starting point of an individual, as it reduces the idea to one specific individual. If you start your thought process with individuation itself in relationship to the individual, you are able to reevaluate your ideas about the individual. Simodon believes that individuation is collective and psychic. Individuation is a constant changing state that an individual lives in.

DECONSTRUCTION, DERRIDA: Deconstruction is built off of three points, one being the need for a focal point, the second is a standard of written definitions, and the third is how the writing shows opposition between concepts. The oppositions are to Western ideologies of logocentrism and meanings that had already been accepted, through this continual process of picking apart and reducing.

SOCIAL REFLEXIVITY, ANTHONY GIDDENS: Giddens believes that reflexivity is sustained by information/knowledge, making it a changing concept and is a mode of life post consideration of the status quo or commonly held beliefs. Reflexivity keeps self-identity always ever-changing. Giddens believe that our own experiences with who we are are not the clearest picture into who we are.
